There are several indispensable qualities in a producer in our business. They’re not specific to the business, but few people exhibit them all. On this list are qualities like dependability, unflappability, resilience, competence, friendliness, and respect. Erika is all of these, and therefore she is a joy to work with both for clients and for staff. I found working with Erika to be one of the highlights of my nearly two years at Furious, and was always angling to make sure we were working on the same shows. She just made things run smoother--she handled clients and difficult artists alike, with her consistent genial aplomb. I worked with Erika while I was Executive Producer of Encore VFX in Vancouver. Erika was my direct supervisor, at the time she was Director of Production for North America as well as the Lead Executive Producer for Encore VFX out of Burbank. Erika's passion for people truly shines through in all she does. She handles high-stress and high-pressure with ease, and maintains a sense of balance, fairness, and calm through all the storms. Our industry is, at times, a difficult one to navigate- client management, crew management, looming deadlines and keeping up with current technology.
Every day is a new challenge, and I have seen Erika take all of this in stride, never afraid to face a new problem to solve. She is an outside-the-box thinker and she brings solutions to the table. Erika is a true professional, and has been the glue that has held several facilities together- facilitating and managing cross-site work between Burbank, Vancouver, Atlanta and Toronto. Her insight and experience have guided and enabled these other sites to be successful. She cares deeply about her teams, clients, and the work we produce.
I would work with Erika again in a heartbeat- she has been a true friend and mentor and I sincerely hope I get to work with her again in the future.

I was fortunate enough to work with Erika Abrams for many years. Erika was always on task, level headed, positive, focused, and professional. She has the unique ability of seeing past a hectic situation and not making a hasty decision. Plus, her personality and humor always made even the toughest days more bearable. Erika would be an asset to any company, she is skilled in all areas of VFX from pre-production, through production, and onto final delivery.
